Project History, ANSI Testing Equipment The following is a sample of the ANSI Testing Equipment projects performed by ACE Automation employees. In addition to programming, typical jobs required investigation of existing plant operations, writing of the functional specification for system design, engineering services, and installation of the hardware, user training, and startup. Casing Head Tester - Texas Created a Visual Basic HMI package for controlling a casing head tester machine. The HMI communicated serially to a Siemens TI 555 PLC. Incorporated a third party trending and data logging package into the Visual Basic program. Valve Tester - Louisiana Created a PLC program and HMI graphics to control ANSI testing of large, high pressure valves on a hydraulic press machine. Used parallel ramping of test and sealing pressures during rampup and rampdown. Touchscreen graphics allowed entry of test parameters, control during test, trending, and printout of customized trends and reports. Programmed in OMRON CPT and WonderWare InTouch. Emergency Valve Tester Replacement - Kentucky Converted obsolete PLC software into new PLC programs for two valve testers damaged by flooding. Added HMI touchscreen graphics to replace manual control panels. New graphics reported the status and results of each phase of valve testing. Programmed in TISOFT and WonderWare InTouch. Valve Testing Machine - Texas Designed a PLC based control system and HMI to allow staged and automated testing of up to 30” diameter ANSI 900 valves. Included 5 stage pressure ramping, trending charts, report generation, and pass/fail detection. Programmed in TISOFT and CVU10000.
